Visual Novel Maker Plugins

A collection of bug fixes and new features for Visual Novel Maker. Free to use under MIT license.

• Cursor Fix
  • Fixes an issue where custom cursors don't display properly after loading a save file. Also ensures your custom cursor persists correctly when opening and closing menus.
• Window Resize Fix
  • Fixes the ratio/stretch display feature breaking after maximizing and then restoring a windowed game.

• Backlog (Message History)
  • A fully customizable backlog display built with HTML/CSS. The default VNM backlog has wordwrap issues due to static sizing. This plugin fixes that while adding a ton of customization options. It also adds new QoL features.
    • Supports all VNM text codes (colors, variables, formatting)
    • Merges consecutive messages from the same character
    • Mouse wheel support (scroll up to open)
• Text Input
  • A customizable text input dialog for player name entry and other inputs. Stores the result directly in a VNM string variable. Must be called with the Script Command.
